Conservation education programs that channel energies from catapult to curiosity
The first phase of the conservation programmes would pilot the execution of conservation initiatives in priority areas identified through the biodiversity surveys. These initiatives would deal with awareness building, conservation education, formation of eco-camps and creation of community conservation areas. Support of local groups and NGOs would be used to execute the proposed programmes that would cover schools, religious institutes and market places. The central focus of this phase will be to conceptualise a Conservation Youth Leadership Programme that would provide opportunities for local talent to get involved with awareness programmes while simultaneously allowing the message of conservation to spread across larger parts of the state. The next phase of the programme would structure a five year plan to be implemented across the state with the help of local groups and the government.
